Education Requirements

Credit Requirements: 150 semester units (225 quarter units)

Minimum Degree: Baccalaureate with 150 semester units

Additional Requirements: 

1: Graduate Degree- 24 semester hours or equivalent quarter hours in upper division accounting courses with 15 or more semester hours covering financial accounting, auditing, taxation and management accounting.



2: Bachelor's Degree- 30 semester hours or equivalent quarter hours comprised of 16 hours in upper division accounting courses and 8 hours in graduate level accounting courses covering financial accounting, auditing, taxation and management accounting.

 

Residency Requirements

Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is not required.

Minimum Age: None

Additional Requirements: It is not necessary to be a resident, employee, or keep office(s) in the state.

Social Security Requirement: Yes

Educational Requirement: 150 Semester hours (including Bachelor's Degree)

Participates in International Exam Program: Yes

Experience Requirements: 1 year experience gained through employment in industry, government, academia or public practice. 2 years experience for CPAs providing attest services

Ethics Exam: Must pass AICPA Professional Ethics Exam with at least a 90%
