Education Requirements

Credit Requirements: 120 semester hours

Minimum Degree: Baccalaureate 

Additional Requirements: 24 semester hours or equivalent quarter hours in accounting and auditing, business law, micro or macro economics, and financial or tax subjects

Residency Requirements

Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is not required

Minimum Age: 18

Additional Requirements: It is not necessary to be a resident, employee, or keep office(s) in the state

Social Security Requirement: Yes

Educational Requirement: 150 hours (including Bachelor's Degree) 

Participates in International Exam Program: Yes

Experience Requirements: 1 year (1,600 hours) of accounting experience within 5 years of the day of license application, verified by a licensed CPA. Qualifying work experience includes providing any type of service or advice involving the use of: accounting, attest, compilation, consulting financial advisory, management advisory, or tax
