Oklahoma CPA Requirements

Education Requirements

Credit Requirements: 150 semester units (225 quarter units)

Minimum Degree: Baccalaureate with 150 semester units or Graduate degree

Additional Requirements: 76 semester hours of upper-division level course credits. 30 hrs of courses above principles of ACCT or intro ACCT (1 course is to be in auditing or assurance). 9 upper level hrs in any or all of the subjects: economics,  statistics,  finance,  marketing, business management,  business  law, business  communication, financial information systems, risk management, and computer science

Residency Requirements

Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is not required

Minimum Age: None

Additional Requirements: Candidate must be an Oklahoma resident

Social Security Requirement: Yes

Educational Requirement: 150 Semester hours 

Participates in International Exam Program: Yes

Experience Requirements: 1 year public accounting experience gained through employment in government, industry, academia, or public practice

Ethics Exam: Must pass AICPA Professional Ethics Exam
