Education Requirements

Credit Requirements: 150 semester units (225 quarter units)

Minimum Degree: Baccalaureate with 150 semester units

Additional Requirements: 30 semester hours or equivalent quarter hours in accounting beyond principles of accounting

Residency Requirements

Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is not required

Minimum Age: None

Additional Requirements: Candidate must be a resident, employee, or keep office(s) in the state

Social Security Requirement: Yes

Educational Requirement: 150 Semester hours including Bachelor's Degree

Participates in International Exam Program: Yes

Experience Requirements: 2 years of public accounting experience or 3 years of auditing experience in the Dept. of Revenue or in the Office of the Auditor of Public Accounts or 3 1/2 years gained through employment by the federal government as a special agent or IRS agent

Ethics Exam: Must pass AICPA Professional Ethics Exam
