Education Requirements

Credit Requirements: 120 semester units (180 quarter units)

Minimum Degree: Baccalaureate

Additional Requirements: 24 semester hours of upper level accounting, including auditing, financial accounting, management accounting and taxation.

24 semester hours of business courses

Residency Requirements

Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is not required

Minimum Age: None

Additional Requirements: It is not necessary to be a resident, employee, or keep office(s) in the state

Social Security Requirement: Yes

Educational Requirement: 150 hours (including Bachelor's Degree)

Participates in International Exam Program: Yes

Experience Requirements: 1 year (2,080 hours) full time work experience under a licensed CPA within the areas of academia, public practice, government or industry in any capacity involving the substantial use of accounting, financial, tax or other skills that are relevant.

Ethics Exam: Must pass AICPA Professional Ethics Exam
