NASBA, the AICPA, and Prometric recently announced that they will be including India as one of the international countries in which CPA Exam candidates can take the U.S. CPA Exam. Eight Prometric testing centers in India will be available to qualified candidates (Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, New Delhi and Trivandrum). This brings the number of U.S. CPA Exam international testing locations to a total of 11.

Beginning now, Indian candidates can schedule any exam section(s) for the months of June and September 2020 – only, of course, if health regulations have been lifted, in which the 8 testing centers will open by that time.

In order to test in India, candidates must be an eligible CPA Exam candidate with citizenship or long-term residency in one of the following countries:
  • India
  • Bhutan
  • Bangladesh
  • Myanmar
  • Maldives
  • Nepal

Candidates must also pay an examination administration fee before scheduling with Prometric by logging into their NASBA CPA Candidate Account portal and selecting “International Administration.” The international administration process for the India region is now available.

If you have already paid for the international administration process for another test region and wish to switch to India, please send an email to iexam@nasba.org with the following information:
  • Name
  • Jurisdiction
  • Jurisdiction ID
  • Exam Section
  • Exam Section ID
