Today is Thanksgiving, a time to enjoy moments with friends and family, partake in holiday food & drink, and to reflect upon what we’re truly thankful for. Below are the top 10 things the Roger CPA Review team is thankful for in 2015:
1. Company Collaboration.
The beauty of cross-team collaboration is that it not only helps us work smarter by creating a reciprocal learning environment, but naturally inspires a sense of family within our company. With this type of interaction between our teams, we are able to create the best eLearning software in the industry.
2. 2017 CPA Exam Changes.
We know what you all are thinking. What? Really? It’s because of our company collaboration that we’re truly excited for the 2017 CPA Exam changes! The CPA profession has demanded higher level skillsets, which means we have the opportunity to shape the way the next generation of CPAs conduct business. We’re all stakeholders in not only helping our students successfully pass the CPA Exam, but to also help prepare CPAs for their next career move.
3. Our Students’ Patience.
Our team is dedicated to delivering the highest quality eLearning experience to our students. Unfortunately, in order to launch new upgrades to our Website and learning platform, we experienced some small challenges. We are grateful that our students worked with us during the upgrades, provided helpful feedback, and were patient while we worked diligently to quickly resolve all of their issues.
4. Location of Corporate Office in San Francisco.
Our corporate office is located in the Mission District of San Francisco, home to great Mexican food, drinks, boutiques, ice cream, coffee, and chai tea. We’re so lucky to be located in one of the most amazing cities in the nation that is filled with diverse people, food, and lifestyles. Not to mention the fact that we’re at the center of the tech world and the amazing innovations that continue to propel and advance our lives. There’s never a dull moment, which is why it’s so easy to leave your heart in San Francisco.
5. Employee Anniversaries.
As we reach each New Year’s milestone, we are thankful for the opportunity to work in such a nurturing team environment that promotes entrepreneurship, growth, and autonomy. We have watched the company grow immensely, and in turn it has opened up incredible opportunities within our own careers. We are excited to see what the future has in store for Roger CPA Review as we continue to help more CPA candidates successfully pass the CPA Exam.
6. The Warriors and Steph Curry.
This was truly an amazing year for our Bay Area basketball team, the Golden State Warriors. Not only did they end the Championship drought by winning the NBA Finals, but also are home to our Bay Area MVP, Steph Curry. With his ankle-breaking moves, should-be-illegal ball handles, and impossible threes, we’re thankful for such an amazing team and their coach, Steve Kerr. Just...wow.
7. Star Wars: The Force Awakens Premier.
Well, because it’s a galaxy far, far away and just Star Wars.
8. Social Media.
We love connecting with our students and others involved within our industry. Social media makes it easier to reach out to people, connect, make someone laugh, and resolve an issue quickly. Oh, and this.
9. Our Partners.
Working with firms, universities, state societies and other organizations allows us to reach more CPA candidates in order to help them accomplish earlier CPA Exam success. This is always a good thing!
10. Work/Life Balance.
This is an oldie, but goodie and one that we are continually thankful for each year. We are an extremely dedicated group of people. We’re dedicated to each other, to our students, and also to our friends and family. Since we work hard, it’s important that we find the time to spend with friends and/or family on the weekends or just simply enjoying time alone. Our company promotes creating a work/life balance so that we’re not only happier at work, but we’re more rested humans overall.
Wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday season!
