Good news, CPA hopefuls - They're one step closer in determining the fine print of the 2014 licensure changes! Early last week the California Board of Accountancy (CBA) announced the signing of Ethics Education legislation affecting the 2014 changes. In Sacramento, CA, Governor Brown signed a bill that puts into law the ethics study guidelines determined by the CPA's Ethics Curriculum Committee.

It is very important that these changes become law as soon as possible in order to give the colleges, universities, and, most importantly, students the maximum amount of time to plan and
prepare for these changes that go into effect in January, 2014, said CBA Executive Officer Patti Bowers.
