I passed, I passed...!!!!! I had been trying to pass for years and my mum finally said you need to go take a class or something, I signed up for the Roger CPA Review live class and I passed BEC and AUDIT right away, but because I was working so hard I used to sleep in the FAR and REG classes and I tried to study at home and I didn't pass. Then my mum said go back to "that guy" and take his classes again. So I bought the online cram for those two parts and I passed. Roger CPA review course is such a useful course that if somebody takes this course and follows Roger's advice, I can guarantee that every student, who is serious and determined to be a CPA, will become a CPA in the shortest possible time. Roger's CPA review courses are simply outstanding and Roger himself is extremely good in explaining the materials and how to deal with the exams. I personally believe no one can compete with him in this regard.
I started my study in mid July 2007 with Roger's USB course and sat for BEC and AUD exam at the end of Nov 2007, I got the scores of 85 and 80 respectively at the end of Dec 2007.
I was so encouraged by Roger's courses, I dared to write the final two exams, just in two months, at the end of Feb 2008 and got scores of 82 and 86. I have become CPA within eight months. This is simply unbelievable and I did it from outside USA. I give all credit to Roger and his courses.

I passed all four parts of the CPA exam on my first try! And I have Roger's Live Courses to thank for. My undergraduate and my advanced degree were not Accounting, so I relied heavily on Roger's Book and the CD that came with the course for a structured and targeted review of exam materials. The Live Courses and Roger's study materials directed me toward studying the heavily tested topics, which saved me lots of time and energy (it was very helpful since I was working full-time). I just wanted to let you guys know that Roger really helped me finally pass the CPA exam. I was having a lot of difficulty with FARE and was worried that I wouldn't pass in time. I passed BEC, AUDIT and REG on the first try thanks to Roger's CPA review. I got a 75 on Audit my first test, 91 on REG and now a 80 on BEC. Roger, I love your energy on your video course that I've been taking. Even though I study at 6 am everyday, I absolutely find myself energized by your animated teaching style and the obvious passion that you have for teaching. You're the only person I know who gets this excited about accounting. You teach the details of each topic in a way that I'm learning it but you also give me the mnemonics to help me pass the exam. I could never remember all of the elements that go into pension cost, but your SPIDER acronym made it so that all I have to do on the next exam is remember one word. One of the things that has really helped me study is the way that you have broken down every concept into simple and straightforward sections that I can understand. When there is a section that I don't understand, I back up the video and watch it again until I get it. The video also has hundreds of examples that help make sense of the topic. After the video, I reread each section then do the questions and find myself visualizing your examples from the video to figure out the answer. You're an absolute genius and I would recommend your course to anybody serious about passing the exam. Thanks!

Hello Roger: You probably do not know or remember me, especially considering I took only the cram course for your REG section last month, and I couldn't make it to 2/3 days of classes as I was traveling for work. The reason I am writing to you is that I took the Regulation exam towards the end of last month after just 8 hrs of actually attending your class, and reading your book for a maximum of 2 days. The other books I looked at for regulation when I took it the first time were either too detailed or simply bad, and your book was just simply perfect in terms of what I needed to cover. In addition, I also bought your video course (now USB Drive Course) just to brush up on important stuff just before the exam, and I have to tell you, the 8hrs in your class, the video course and the book helped immensely, especially given the short amount of time I had to prepare. Considering busy season and everything at work, I simply did not have the time to study or prepare more. I just got my results back and I scored an 80 on the dot, and considering the amount of time I spent on the exam, it was simply great. Bottom-line, thanks a lot to you, your team and the great work you guys do. Thanks to you, I have completed my last part now, and my only regret is that I wish I had found you guys earlier. I Passed FARE 92, BEC 80, and REG 85 on the first try. Took AUD in January and am waiting for the results any day now. One thing I do know without a doubt is that I would not have achieved this success without Roger. He's an excellent teacher and I would highly recommend him to anyone taking the exam. I used his videos, (now USB Drive Course) and after spending G-d knows how many hours with him, I feel like I personally know the guy. He explicitly explains topics that maybe didn't seem so clear when covering them in college classes. One example is pensions in FARE. That is one topic I just couldn't grasp in my intermediate accounting class. But Roger did it for me. SPIDER made it all come together, and I probably had 6 or 7 pension questions on the exam. There are many other instances like the pension example that Roger helped me out with immensely. Trust Roger. The videos and the books provided are the only materials I used, and so far I'm 3 for 3. He teaches you what you need to know to conquer the exam. If you know his material, you will pass, plain and simple.

I passed all 4 parts! I am really glad to have more than one CPA review course in the bay area. I had an opportunity to compare Roger's course and Becker Conviser classes. I concluded that it is much easier and not that painful to study with Roger's explanations and real life examples. Also, it is very easy to reach Roger or his team - they always answer the phone and help. I would recommend to buy tapes or online classes and watch them again and again. I was surprised how easy it is to read the text book after you watched the video. I still had to study though:)) I would like to wish Roger good luck in his business.
I passed Financial! I took Roger's online class and did the homework as he suggested. It only took me 23 days to do that, and I passed the exam with an 88! It would not have possible without Roger's class. He has a unique teaching style and a very fun class. You never get bored in his class. He uses stories and mnemonics to make the concepts understandable. A lot of the concepts that never made sense to me before hand became extremely easy after taking Roger's class. A multitude of thanks over and over again to Roger. I took the 9 week intensive review and the CRAM for FARE, which was my last section to pass. The pressure was on, since I would have lost my conditional credit had I not passed. Thanks to Roger, I received an 84! I began studying for the CPA exam 4 years ago when I spent a fortune on Becker's review. I was completely overwhelmed, bored and dissatisfied. There was always a different instructor and each of them had the personality of a celery stick. After that waste, I ordered a bunch of study books by different publishers and was again bored and dissatisfied. Let me say I have a closet full of review materials that did me no good. I wish I took Roger's class a long time ago. I know it wouldn't have taken me as long as it did to finally get to this point. Roger is tremendously knowledgeable, sincere, respectful and extremely funny! He is able to take a ton of material and focus on the important highlights so you don't feel so overwhelmed. Roger, I just started the FARE online video course last night and I couldn't believe it but for the first time I understand the conceptual framework. I'm shocked. You were right in what you said, You'll understand accounting after the next 17 hours, it's happening. Anyway, more importantly that that, the Equity method vs. cost method for investment interests is a simple concept now. You took a very complex issue of which the components I had to always memorize and made it so simple and logical. In fact, I will not have to study the equity method again until the exam (although I probably will anyway). Not to sound like I'm weird but I really want to convey a feeling to you that I have never seen someone be able to do what you do with such complex material. I have had 20 year scholar professors; doctorates in their accounting fields; authors of countless publications and I don't think these guys understand this stuff like you do. Further, you are able to put it into understandable form in a matter of seconds. Years of school, Becker, and CPA Excel all together could not do what you did in a few seconds for many exam issues. I'm sorry, don't want to get emotional but I just wanted to make sure you're getting kudos for what you do. I don't know if you're told enough or not. So thanks. BEC I got an 85 and studied maybe 60 hours (8 of which were your lectures). The remainder I believe will be similar. Hi Roger, I studied intensively using your online course. The online course was perfect for me because I was impressed by YOUR energy and humor but I didn't want to drive to San Francisco every week. I just took the Audit portion of the Computerized CPA exam. I feel that I was very well prepared! Some of the questions on the exam were almost verbatim sample questions that I had been practicing. Your course organizes and structures a great deal of information and uses mnemonics to help students remember it. Getting your REG review Video Tapes (now USB Drive Course) and Books was the best decision I made. I purchased the entire Becker Review on CD-Rom and dreaded preparing with that course due to the monotony of the lecture which consists of an audio-visual lecture that recites word for word what is in the book then pauses and tells you ..read the next 5-6 paragraphs on your own, begin then starts back up and recites what you just read. From the minute I started your lecture it was exciting, even my wife found it interesting and sat down to watch with me. You make the course interesting and invigorating but most important help connect the disparate pieces of information so that it all makes sense. I'm a procrastinator and had waited until approximately six weeks before the exam to begin studying. I did my research to determine who's instructional material I would purchase. I definitely knew I wanted to purchase CPA Videos (now USB Drive Course) so that I could study from home, as I have a very busy schedule. I called several places for materials, which everyone said I would not be able to appropriately study for the exam whether I was sitting for two or four parts, as I had waited until the last minute. I called and spoke with Roger, who stated it was not too late and that he has several people who wait till the last minute and pass with no problems. In fact, he stated he has people take the cram courses (courses available the week prior to the exam) and pass. I was hesitate to begin studying so late in the game as this was the first time I was going to sit for the exam. I just want to share my appreciation for your help in my passing two parts of the CPA Exam. Due to many changes at work, I decided to sit for the November CPA exam. I decided late, so I didn't have much time to study. I had less than 5 weeks to study. I found your course on the internet and saw the video course was perfect for me. I have a wife and 3 year old son, so time management for everyone was important. The video course allowed me to watch a video at night after my son went to bed. Sure I stayed up late, but the video material and presentation style kept my attention and focus. I was only trying to pass Audit and Law since I was cramming the 14 week video course into 4 weeks. I watched a video each night and did homework during lunch and after each video. I only watched the video portion for ARE and FARE with only doing about 10% of the homework - I just wanted to make the minimum. I passed Audit with a 78 and passed Law with a 82. I made a 67 in FARE and a 74 in ARE. I should also mention this was my 1st time to take the exam in 7 years. I took it a few times straight out of college with only minimal success. I never put together the right combination to get conditioned. I have been out of college 10 years, so I was hesitant to go back to the study mode and was worried I would struggle. The course material and videos made it possible. Thanks for taking an overwhelming amount of material and making it interesting and retainable. I am actually looking forward to having adequate preparation time for the next exam for the remaining two parts and being able to complete the homework. I truly think I can finish it next time. If you are not awake during your CPA review course, you will not pass. If you want to sleep use Becker, if you want to PASS USE ROGER. I took your Video Cram, and I could regurgitate all of the other testimonials you have received, but the best thing to say is Thanks! My wife thanks you also, you did not drive her out of the room the way Becker's class did, and she has even picked up a few things, while I studied.

Roger: Good morning. I hope all is well in your part of the world. I told you I would let you know about my test results when they arrived, and I just received them. I told you I felt good about the exam in my May email. Well, I passed 3 out of 4 parts! I am thrilled and a little surprised. I scored 80 on BEC, 85 on AUDIT, and 90 on FARE. I don't have my score yet on REG, but as you know, with each notice they tell which parts you passed and for REG I received no credit. My goal was to pass FARE and AUDIT, and that is where I focused my study time. After attending your cram courses for all but BEC, as you may remember, I purchased the video for BEC. In the two days prior to the exam I watched the video, and combined with studying, put twenty hours of effort into the material- and passed! I took Roger's review class and was always amazed at how easy he made the material seem. I studied for two parts and planned on sitting for the other two for the experience only. I also took the CPA Exam Cram course to see if he could bring me up to speed enough on the two parts I had not studied for. I really enjoyed the CPA Exam Cram in October and November 2001 and I am glad to tell you that I passed all four parts of the CPA exam with an average of 90% on my first try!!! For law I only took your CPA Exam Cram and spend maybe another 6 hours studying the next day - and reached 88%. ARE I tried to study by doing Micromash but soon figured out that I just didn't seem to understand the basics. A day of your CPA Exam Cram and a couple of days of studying at home afterwards and I reached 86%. Thanks for making my CPA preparation fun and effective. I just wanted to let everyone at Roger Philpp 's CPA Review course know that I am very pleased with the information and instruction that I received during my ARE CPA Exam Cram course this past May. I was able to pass my last part of the exam with only 16 hours of actual study time in addition to the CPA Exam Cram course. After taking the CPA Exam Cram course I went home and reviewed all questions supplied in the CPA Exam Cram packet and most in the back of each chapter from the self-study review course. I did this review of questions on the Mon. and Tues. immediately following the CPA Exam Cram for approximately 8 hours each day, or for a total of 16 hours. Based on this level of studying, I passed the test with a grade in the 80's. I don't think that I could have had as much success with the test had I not have taken the CPA Exam Cram course. I conditionally passed ARE & LPR on the November '00 exam. I studied on my own trying to pass Audit and FARE and got nowhere. With only three attempts left before I lost my conditional status, I decided to get Roger's help. So I took Roger's Audit Cram Course and proceeded to pass Audit. I just thought that you should know, last MAY I purchased your CRAM course for two parts and, I was also studying via Beckers courses. Needless to say I only had time to review and study with one of your CRAM courses while I studied with Becker for the other part. I only took two parts expecting to pass them both, but I only passed one (which means I didn't get conditional credit). The section I passed was the one I studied for with your CRAM course CD's. This time I am only going to study with your materials.

I bought your video course for ARE for the Nov 2003 exam, and I want you to know you have an amazing ability to take such difficult material and present it in a way that totally makes sense. You cut out all the BS and focus only on what is most important, and serve it in a way that is very entertaining. True story, I will be watching your classes in the other room and start laughing out loud, and my wife will come in to yell at me to study, and see that I AM studying and walk away disappointed for losing out on a chance to yell at me. And sometimes she even stays and watched a little bit, even though she is an RN and has no interest in accounting. I have taken other review courses that have only held me back. -Nov 2003 exam- When I decided to take the CPA exam, I knew I wanted to pass it the first time. All that time studying and then not pass and have to do it all over again? Didn't want to let that happen. So I needed a review course. But which one? All the in-person review courses in my state were too far away to be convenient. So I went online and found Roger's website. It billed him as dynamic and fun, while at the same time providing solid and well-organized instruction. I bought the videotapes and books and began my program of self-study, and found him and his teaching to be everything the advertisements and testimonials said. There were a lot of lectures to go through, but his energy and enthusiasm kept me interested and motivated. The content was well-organized, and the memory-aids made important topics easy to remember. Some of the material I was hearing for the first time, too, but he made it easy to understand. And he spent plenty of time working through examples of the various types of problems. Who else teaches you how to answer essay and other-objective-format questions? It took 4 months of solid, full-time study (nobody ever said something worthwhile should be easy), but in the end, I passed the CPA exam in one sitting (94 Audit, 88 Business Law, 99 FARE, 99 ARE). And that was after being out of school for 2 years! Thanks, Roger, for giving me a leg up in this next phase of my career!
Roger's classes are great in giving you all you need for the CPA exam. I passed 3 parts on my first try (Nov 2003) and got a 72 in audit. Have I listened to him... Roger, call me sick, but I almost found the classes and test enjoyable. I took the Roger Philipp cram course and was able to pass three parts of the exam on the first try. The only additional work necessary was some review of the materials given out in the course and completion of some of the sample problems (also included in the materials). Using only his materials I received from the original cram class, I completed the work mentioned above and raised my score to over 80. The entire process was not too painful. I think the key is that Roger mixes in the right amount of humor, knowledge, unpredictability and experience to keep you going through the long days of cramming. I am glad I took Roger's CPA Review course and PASSED ALL 4 SECTIONS IN THE FIRST ATTEMPT ! Being an International student, taking the CPA Exam was all the more challenging.. I graduated from college 10 years ago and had studied NO formal accounting since graduation when I decided to take your course. Being a 'slightly older' student (32), I was a little intimidated when I walked into your classroom. However, your teaching style (and sense of humor) was very effective easy to understand. Hi Roger, I want to thank both yourself and Louisa for helping me to pass. I passed all 4 parts my first time with scores over 80. Its' not just the lectures, which the whole world is already doing... Its' more... i.e. the sincere care and encouragement I get from you guys when I was down with obstacles like bonds, pensions etc. and I don't know what to do with so much material that I couldn't understand cos' it wasn't emphasized or taught in my Chartered courses in Scotland. What could be worse? When The CO state board INITIALLY DIDN'T ALLOW ME TO SIT FOR THE EXAMS WHEN I WAS MORE THAN ELIGIBLE. Louisa was such an angel in my most desperate moments. She patiently advised and vetted thru' my appeal letter to the State Board of Accountancy in COLORADO! You too, Roger for motivating me all the way telling me to hang in there and don't give up. Thanks a bunch ! people! you are the best! You are more than teachers. You care ! You are not the take your money, don't give you any time and good-bye! type. That's what made you guys stand out above the other corporate and faceless schools. Just thought, that I'd share with you as an FYI what my November CPA exam scores were, in case you gather any statistics. I took the November 2002 class in San Jose. After being out of school for 3 years, I knew I would be rusty, so expectations were low. I took the class for all 4 sections, and studied for 2 (okay, more like 1,....3/4?) I got the following results: LPR: 75 AUD: 72 FARE: 76 ARE: 70. I successfully obtained conditional credit, with very minimal study time. Roger's instruction alone was nearly enough to get me to pass all 4 sections. I feel very confident now that when I study for the remaining sections, I will be able to pass the remaining sections. The Roger CPA Review course was the key to my success in passing the CPA exam. Roger pares down the tremendous volume of information to its key components and he presents them effectively, allowing students to concentrate on the information and skills required to pass. Rogers's engaging personality, sense of humor, and up-beat presentation style helped me to keep focused during class. My passing is truly a testament to the value of his lectures as, although I attended every lecture, I was unable to commit much additional time to studying. I would estimate I studied less than 40 hours outside of class attendance. I got almost exactly perfect scores (perfect being a 76, 76, 76, 76). My scores were Aud 80, LPR 81, FARE 79,and ARE 76. It has been 10 years since I took an accounting course, and 5 years since I practiced public or private accounting. I genuinely believe my passing the exam is a direct result of attending Roger's excellent lectures. I highly recommend his course to anyone who wants to pass the exam!

I would never have passed all four parts my first try had I not taken Roger's class. His books and guidelines for studying are the best way to prepare yourself to successfully take and pass the CPA exam. Even though I was working and studying, the structure of Roger's class makes the studying process doable. I definitely recommend this class for anyone who is serious about passing the CPA exam.
