Thank you for this amazing review course! I graudated with my BS in accounting 20+ years ago and it has always been my dream to be a CPA. Kids, work, life, etc always kept me from really making the CPA a priority. However, twice I tried to study using Convisor Duffy but never gained enough confidence to take the exam. After 20 years of working in governmental accounting and auditing, I went back to school and earned a Masters in Accounting. Then decided to keep going and work on passing the CPA exams. I am so glad I found the Roger CPA review course. The Roger CPA Review course was the key to my success in passing the CPA exam. Roger pares down the tremendous volume of information to its key components and he presents them effectively, allowing students to concentrate on the information and skills required to pass. Roger: Good morning. I hope all is well in your part of the world. I told you I would let you know about my test results when they arrived, and I just received them. I told you I felt good about the exam in my May email. Well, I passed 3 out of 4 parts! I am thrilled and a little surprised. I scored 80 on BEC, 85 on AUDIT, and 90 on FARE. I don't have my score yet on REG, but as you know, with each notice they tell which parts you passed and for REG I received no credit. My goal was to pass FARE and AUDIT, and that is where I focused my study time. After attending your cram courses for all but BEC, as you may remember, I purchased the video for BEC. In the two days prior to the exam I watched the video, and combined with studying, put twenty hours of effort into the material- and passed! I was so impressed with how good I felt after each of your cram sessions that I thought it was worth a shot, and it worked! Your teaching style is without a doubt one of the best I have seen. Hello Roger CPA Review. Thank you so much for making my exam experience enjoyable! I graduated in May 2003, and was fortunate enough to earn a scholarship from you. I enrolled in the review course beginning June 2003 and took all four parts of the exam in November. I looked forward to getting up Sunday mornings to attend class with Roger. He made learning the exam material fun while using techniques that helped me retain what I was learning. As well as teaching the material, Roger gave me insight to the exam taking experience, Through his personal experience, he was able to set the scene for me so when I showed up on November 5, I was not surprised at the process. This decreased my stress level and allowed me to concentrate on the material and not the formalities. Like Roger says, if you put in the hours, you will pass. I did set aside several hours per week, took a few days vacation just prior o the exam and was fortunate enough to pass 3 parts of the November exam (FARE 76, ARE 77, LPR 83). I know if I would have spent a few more hours per week that I would have passed all 4. Since, Roger offers Unconditional Repeats, I signed up for the Audit review class in April, attended every class, did all the homework, scheduled a computer exam time in May 2004 and passed with flying colors, 88. Roger again was very helpful in passing along information regarding the procedures for taking the computerized exam. He gave me key information about the steps to take to apply, schedule my exam time, and also helpful websites like cpa-exam.org, which has a tutorial about the exam and sample questions. I bought your video course for ARE for the Nov 2003 exam, and I want you to know you have an amazing ability to take such difficult material and present it in a way that totally makes sense. You cut out all the BS and focus only on what is most important, and serve it in a way that is very entertaining. True story, I will be watching your classes in the other room and start laughing out loud, and my wife will come in to yell at me to study, and see that I AM studying and walk away disappointed for losing out on a chance to yell at me. And sometimes she even stays and watched a little bit, even though she is an RN and has no interest in accounting. I have taken other review courses that have only held me back. You absolutely blow them away. On another note, I like the way you run your business also. Not only did I receive the tapes 2 days after I ordered them but when watching one of the ARE tapes, my VCR shredded the tape and I called you and you sent a new one and I received that the next day. Hi Roger! I was a rep for your company at California State University San Marcos, ending Fall 07. I received my review package and slowly began studying. Once I finally received my NTS from the State of CA - and it seems to take forever, I hit the studying hard. I took Audit yesterday. Believe it or not I only took 2.5 hours! I felt so prepared and ready to go. There didn't seem to be any areas of surprise. Everyone told me I would walk out feeling like I had been kicked in the gut. Well, I sure didn't. I had taken Roger's CPA USB course for FARE and Regulation in March 2007 and passed the exams in November 2007. The information provided in the videos is invaluable. Not too much, not too little. They are also much more entertaining than the competition. Everyone else at my company uses one of other CPA review courses and they're always complaining about trying to stay awake and pay attention during the videos. Hi Roger, This time i wrote AUD and BEC. Today i got my BEC result. You will be happy to know that I got 85. I did not get AUD score yet. Hi Roger, I just got my REG scores and I made it. This was by far the toughest exam I have worked on and with your help I have scored an 80. I am glad I made the decision to join your course. I just wanted to let you guys know that Roger really helped me finally pass the CPA exam. I was having a lot of difficulty with FARE and was worried that I wouldn't pass in time. I Passed FARE 92, BEC 80, and REG 85 on the first try. Took AUD in January and am waiting for the results any day now. One thing I do know without a doubt is that I would not have achieved this success without Roger. He's an excellent teacher and I would highly recommend him to anyone taking the exam. I used his videos, (now USB Drive Course) and after spending G-d knows how many hours with him, I feel like I personally know the guy. He explicitly explains topics that maybe didn't seem so clear when covering them in college classes. One example is pensions in FARE. That is one topic I just couldn't grasp in my intermediate accounting class. But Roger did it for me. SPIDER made it all come together, and I probably had 6 or 7 pension questions on the exam. There are many other instances like the pension example that Roger helped me out with immensely. Trust Roger. The videos and the books provided are the only materials I used, and so far I'm 3 for 3. He teaches you what you need to know to conquer the exam. If you know his material, you will pass, plain and simple.

Roger, I just started the FARE online video course last night and I couldn't believe it but for the first time I understand the conceptual framework. I'm shocked. You were right in what you said, You'll understand accounting after the next 17 hours, it's happening. Anyway, more importantly that that, the Equity method vs. cost method for investment interests is a simple concept now. You took a very complex issue of which the components I had to always memorize and made it so simple and logical. In fact, I will not have to study the equity method again until the exam (although I probably will anyway). Not to sound like I'm weird but I really want to convey a feeling to you that I have never seen someone be able to do what you do with such complex material. I have had 20 year scholar professors; doctorates in their accounting fields; authors of countless publications and I don't think these guys understand this stuff like you do. Further, you are able to put it into understandable form in a matter of seconds. Years of school, Becker, and CPA Excel all together could not do what you did in a few seconds for many exam issues. I'm sorry, don't want to get emotional but I just wanted to make sure you're getting kudos for what you do. I don't know if you're told enough or not. So thanks. BEC I got an 85 and studied maybe 60 hours (8 of which were your lectures). The remainder I believe will be similar. Sorry for the long email, I just had to share my excitement about how I felt about the exam after one night (last night) of the cram course. I just received my scores and I am a very happy-I passed all the parts of the CPA exam with results in the 80s! I could not have done it without the invaluable and incredibly entertaining ( yes, I mean ENTERTAINING) Roger's live course. Before Roger, I took Gleim for one section and it did not work for me. Roger Philipp's class is very dynamic! He teaches his classes in a motivating way that keeps students interested. He teaches you what you need to know and leaves out all the dry material that is not necessary to pass the exam. I took the video course of FARE and Regulation and passed them both my first time. I was so scared to start studying for the CPA exam after being out of school for 3 years. I am from Hong Kong and I have been in the U.S. for 2 years. My degree is not in accounting. English is my second language. I took the Roger CPA Review course and passed all four exams on the first try with scores of 93, 87, 85, and 83, while working full time. The course is very thorough and helpful. I spent 4 and 1/2 months studying for the first exam and 1 month for the last, and finished all in 9 months.
