Hello from Japan! I took my FAR exam in Tokyo last month and realized just last weekend that I passed with a 76. Just checked my FAR score from the April/May test window...76! I barely passed, but I honestly thought I didn't make it. I passed two times before, both with another provider. My last score was a 63, I would say an improvement of 13 points isn't too shabby! Now I'm waiting for my BEC score, and then I'm taking AUD on July 1st. After that, I should be done, and can move on to other pursuits. So here is my story. I started the Becker CPA review in January of 2012. I passed FAR in February 2012, I passed REG in April 2012 and BEC in July 2012. But I was having a tough time with Audit. I took it in August 2012 and made a 65. I took it in Ocotober 2012 and made a 70. I took it in February 2013 and made a 73. Then i signed up for the Roger's Audit Cram and I passed with an 84!!!! Thank you Roger! You are an awesome and dynamic teacher and YOU made the difference!!!! You made it all "click". Thank you Thank you

I did mostly everything Roger said to do and I passed REG with an 87 on the first try. Though I am smart and driven, I had the following adverse factors to work through while studying for roughly two-and-a-half months:

• Full-time job (albeit with no overtime and a short commute) in a field unrelated to accounting;
• I have no actual work experience in accounting;
• Three small children to care for at home, ages 4 and under at the time;
• Husband with demanding job (60-80 hours per week);
• Had barely squeaked by with a B- in the online Tax class I had taken;
• Took a Tax Research online class during the study period (this actually kind of helped with maintaining focus, though);
• Became pregnant during the study period (yes, planned).

Studying for an exam section is a lot of work and I don't think there are any shortcuts, but Roger's course will not waste your time. He tells you what work you need to put in. If you put in the work, you will be in good shape to pass. I enjoyed his teaching style ("I was AGHAST!!") and the mnemonics really helped.

Now on to FAR :) .

Honestly, I cannot thank you enough!!! After using self-study and scoring a 66 on FAR, I saw your lectures on youtube and bought your course. The classes were energetic, informative, and have a unique way of making the info make sense. Thank you so much for your help! I recently found out that I passed the final section (FAR). I signed up for the online review course in August 2012 and was very skeptical on how the next 6-9 months were going to turn out for me. My wife would joke that I signed up for a 'budget' CPA Review course... and to our surprise - it's just that. Roger CPA Review course has ALL the tools necessary to prepare accountants for the CPA exam, but provides everything at a 'fair' price. Instead of the saying "you get what you pay for." I used study materials from another company (let's just say I didn't excel as much as they said I would) and passed only one section after studying for over a year and failing multiple times. After failing so many times on each section of the CPA exam (1-3 times, depending on the section), I finally decided to try a different review course this time and chose Roger CPA because of his enthusiasm and ability to make you laugh.....even when it's past midnight and you're tired. During the course, I enjoyed your humor, mnemonics and stories you used to help us all remember the material. There were numerous times when I had to play back the video because I was laughing so hard well beyond your silliness that I missed some of the more serious lecture material. Even my teenage son who ignores everything I do would come in the room to see what I was laughing at. I can never make him laugh, but you did, Roger! Aside from previewing the videos on your website and seeing your teaching style, your staff made a remarkable impression on me from the start which helped me decide which review course to choose. When calling other review courses, I was either placed on hold, had to go through a long menu before speaking with someone or the person on the other end of the phone acted as if I was bothering them. Roger makes studying for the CPA exam as entertaining as it could possibly be! I passed all four parts on my first try. Roger differentiates himself by including ONLY the material that has been tested or will most likely be tested (he doesn't waste your time on the material that isn't relevant!).

Hooray! I passed the entire exam all at first seating! I could not have done it without Roger. I graduated in 1982, so there was a lot of material to catch up on. I had the rare opportunity to take a break from working (over 20 years as a controller), which was necessary to study the mound of material. I just want to thank you for your great review course. I passed and completed every section (IN ONE TAKE) starting September 2009 to December 2010. I took the exam every quarter except for the second exam which I took 6 months after the first due to my adjustment on my new job. I attended initially your live class then converted to online. After finishing each topic, I listen to your online course over and over (like a radio) while working or while driving (via i-phone). I thought it worked well with me. After finishing REG last DEC, I immediately took the IRS EA exam and completed all the 3 exams by Feb and got certification by April. I just wnat to thank you ... Passed FAR in February 2011 after doing online lectures and Wiley book questions twice. Didn't get a chance to do final review at all due to a family emergency several days before the exam so I thought I flunked the exam. I didn't even bother checking my score until a week ago and found I scored 81%. So done with BEC and FAR, and taking AUD in May. Thanks Roger!

My background is journalism for many years back in China and after I immigrated to Canada a few years ago, I had to change my career to accounting. Yes. I can't believe I passed the CPA exam. Having no public accounting background didn't really matter as long as you study hard. In addition, your course was amazing. The online worked well in my busy schedule. I watched the lectures on the weekends and worked the WIley book for MC. Sometimes I would re-watch lectures after work at Starbucks or Panera Bread (since they have internet connection). I also like the fact that you provide your own study book, that helped me write notes during my study time.

I am from Hong Kong and I have been in the U.S. for 2 years. My degree is not in accounting. English is my second language. Just thought, that I'd share with you as an FYI what my November CPA exam scores were, in case you gather any statistics. I took the November 2002 class in San Jose. After being out of school for 3 years, I knew I would be rusty, so expectations were low. I took the class for all 4 sections, and studied for 2 (okay, more like 1,....3/4?) I got the following results: LPR: 75 AUD: 72 FARE: 76 ARE: 70. I successfully obtained conditional credit, with very minimal study time. Roger's instruction alone was nearly enough to get me to pass all 4 sections. I feel very confident now that when I study for the remaining sections, I will be able to pass the remaining sections. Its' not just the lectures, which the whole world is already doing... Its' more... i.e. the sincere care and encouragement I get from you guys when I was down with obstacles like bonds, pensions etc. and I don't know what to do with so much material that I couldn't understand cos' it wasn't emphasized or taught in my Chartered courses in Scotland. I would never have passed all four parts my first try had I not taken Roger's class. His books and guidelines for studying are the best way to prepare yourself to successfully take and pass the CPA exam. -Nov 2003 exam- When I decided to take the CPA exam, I knew I wanted to pass it the first time. All that time studying and then not pass and have to do it all over again? Didn't want to let that happen. So I needed a review course. But which one? All the in-person review courses in my state were too far away to be convenient. So I went online and found Roger's website. It billed him as dynamic and fun, while at the same time providing solid and well-organized instruction. I bought the videotapes and books and began my program of self-study, and found him and his teaching to be everything the advertisements and testimonials said. There were a lot of lectures to go through, but his energy and enthusiasm kept me interested and motivated. The content was well-organized, and the memory-aids made important topics easy to remember. Some of the material I was hearing for the first time, too, but he made it easy to understand. And he spent plenty of time working through examples of the various types of problems. Who else teaches you how to answer essay and other-objective-format questions? It took 4 months of solid, full-time study (nobody ever said something worthwhile should be easy), but in the end, I passed the CPA exam in one sitting (94 Audit, 88 Business Law, 99 FARE, 99 ARE). And that was after being out of school for 2 years! Thanks, Roger, for giving me a leg up in this next phase of my career!

Roger....I took FARE in January 2008. I figured that if i'm going to be a CCCCCCC CPA that i should probably pass the hardest part first. Well...i just received my result and I got a 75. The Roger Philipp CPA review course worked really well for me. Roger was very upbeat and entertaining, which helped me pay attention. He explained things thoroughly and I really didn't have any questions on the topics, even though I studied using the online course. He gave some real life examples and also some great acronyms to remember key topics. I really liked the course materials because I could bring the book to work and read up on topics, and then do questions during my lunch break. I didn't necessarily have to go re-watch the course if I was confused about something, since the text explained it so well. I thought the materials were clear, concise, and focused on the areas that were emphasized in the exam. If I had to do it again, I would probably buy the USB course so I could study anywhere, but the online course worked fine for me. I passed the exam in one year, which was my goal at the outset. I took the exams starting this year in February through July, and was successful on each one with one try. I did what you said although at times I had doubts that I could master all the material in the exam format. Your materials were great. I took FARE exam on 7/26 and got the score today - 93. :) I did everything Roger told us to do - read his note ONLY, do homework twice, and focus on important topics. For the exam, I used about 40 minutes for each section of MC. I did not look at the Reseach tap for the first Simulation to make sure I have enough time to do the second Simulation. I don't remember any MC related to Pension which I spent a couple hours the day before the exam. So if you are having trouble with it (as I did), don't worry - it might not show up. I am taking Audit on 8/31 - will report back. Thank you Roger. Good luck to everyone.

Roger, I love your energy on your video course that I've been taking. Even though I study at 6 am everyday, I absolutely find myself energized by your animated teaching style and the obvious passion that you have for teaching. You're the only person I know who gets this excited about accounting. You teach the details of each topic in a way that I'm learning it but you also give me the mnemonics to help me pass the exam. I could never remember all of the elements that go into pension cost, but your SPIDER acronym made it so that all I have to do on the next exam is remember one word. One of the things that has really helped me study is the way that you have broken down every concept into simple and straightforward sections that I can understand. When there is a section that I don't understand, I back up the video and watch it again until I get it. The video also has hundreds of examples that help make sense of the topic. After the video, I reread each section then do the questions and find myself visualizing your examples from the video to figure out the answer. You're an absolute genius and I would recommend your course to anybody serious about passing the exam. Thanks!

Roger, I just started the FARE online video course last night and I couldn't believe it but for the first time I understand the conceptual framework. I'm shocked. You were right in what you said, You'll understand accounting after the next 17 hours, it's happening. Anyway, more importantly that that, the Equity method vs. cost method for investment interests is a simple concept now. You took a very complex issue of which the components I had to always memorize and made it so simple and logical. In fact, I will not have to study the equity method again until the exam (although I probably will anyway). Not to sound like I'm weird but I really want to convey a feeling to you that I have never seen someone be able to do what you do with such complex material. I have had 20 year scholar professors; doctorates in their accounting fields; authors of countless publications and I don't think these guys understand this stuff like you do. Further, you are able to put it into understandable form in a matter of seconds. Years of school, Becker, and CPA Excel all together could not do what you did in a few seconds for many exam issues. I'm sorry, don't want to get emotional but I just wanted to make sure you're getting kudos for what you do. I don't know if you're told enough or not. So thanks. BEC I got an 85 and studied maybe 60 hours (8 of which were your lectures). The remainder I believe will be similar. Sorry for the long email, I just had to share my excitement about how I felt about the exam after one night (last night) of the cram course. I passed all 4 parts! I am really glad to have more than one CPA review course in the bay area. I had an opportunity to compare Roger's course and Becker Conviser classes. I concluded that it is much easier and not that painful to study with Roger's explanations and real life examples. Also, it is very easy to reach Roger or his team - they always answer the phone and help. I would recommend to buy tapes or online classes and watch them again and again. I was surprised how easy it is to read the text book after you watched the video. I still had to study though:)) I would like to wish Roger good luck in his business.

I have just received my advisory score for AUD and it is 80. AUD is my last section of the CPA exam! My first initial response was pure shock... I cannot believe that I have passed the exam on all the sections, each on the first try! I know I wouldn't have been able to pass this beast of an exam without Roger's lectures/guidance and Krista Thompson's (Roger's staff member) dedicated support! I followed Roger's plan of study time. I did not do the homework as many times as Roger suggested due to work or family issues that tend to pop up each time I scheduled each section of the exam. It was tough for me to put myself in the study mode because it had been 19 years since I graduated with the BS degree (and 11 years for the MBA. Micro/Macro economics are a distant memory). I really liked this course. I took Becker review course twice and I feel like I was never prepared for the exam the way I was after taking Roger's course. I scored in the mid 80's for both of the exams that I have taken since starting Roger's review course and feel that it was completely attributable to Roger's teaching style. I just found out my BEC score, 78! I am stoked! I did everything Roger told us to do. 1.Watched all his lectures taking notes every few minutes, 2. reading his book, 3. doing the review questions at the end of each section of his book, 4. doing ALL the Wiley questions atleast 3/4 times. I probably spend 6 hours a day, 5 days a week, for 4 weeks studying for this exam and am VERY satisfied with my results. Roger's program worked! I will enroll in his Audit class next!

(Rob Kinney cont.) I originally signed up and took Becker CPA review. It was the most expensive so I assumed it was the best. That was just the beginning of the lessons I've learned along the way. I quickly was lost in the Becker material because they often assumed that I had all of the accounting foundation material mastered. I had been out of school several years and I needed to be taught from the ground up. I'm 40 years old and my college days are far behind me. Roger started from the ground up and covered all of the critical data necessary to pass. Becker's delivery is not nearly as personal or engaging as Roger and what could be more personal than spending hard earned money on a course that will change the rest of my career. Frankly, I expected a course that would personally walk me through the materials and train me to pass the CPA exam and Roger delivered. I greatly appreciate Roger's personal and realistic approach and only found success when I followed his direct, clearly defined study schedule. I tried the rest, but passed with the best. Hi Roger, I really, really appreciate your course material and your lectures in passing my CPA exam. I took other courses for CPA preparation but didn't have any luck. Roger, After 18 years in the pharmaceutical arena, I have gone into finance and part of my 'second act' is to get a CPA. First test was BEC in February 2010: passed the first time with an 81. You kept me motivated during the 2 months of study. I enjoy your classroom training where you can be a 'wise guy' which keeps me amused, but you are definitely a wise man in your approach to passing the CPA exams. Thanks for all your help!

I came across Roger CPA review looking for an online cram course because I was trying to get the last 2 parts of the exam done before my first credit expired. And it helped. Thank you Roger! I am two for two. I found out today I passed BEC. I passed AUD and BEC on the first attempt. I could not have passed without your online course. I graduated over 20 years ago and I was not an accounting major. I went back to school to get the accounting units so I could sit for the exam. I have spent the last 10 years at home raising my children and plan on re-entering the work force after I pass all four parts.

Roger & Crew Thanks - excellent courses & organization as a whole. I took a mix of live & on-line classes after being out of school for a few years (I was a finance major, not accounting by the way)and passed each section of the CPA exam on the first attempt. I really don't think that would not have been possible had I not taken your courses. Everyone I came in contact with at RogerCPA was always helpful, professional, and prompt in responding to questions/requests.
