Education Requirements

Credit Requirements: 150 semester units (225 quarter units).

Minimum Degree: Baccalaureate with 150 semester units.

Additional Requirements: Baccalaureate with 150 hours, of which at least 33 semester units must be in accounting, plus additional coursework. May sit for exam with lesser or no degree if qualifying experience requirements (15 yrs) are met. The curriculum must also include other courses that include the study of business or accounting communications, ethics and professional responsibility, and accounting research.

Residency Requirements

Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is not required.

Minimum Age: 21

Additional Requirements: It is not necessary to be a resident, employee, or keep office(s) in the state.
