The requirements listed below relate only to eligibility to sit for and take the Uniform CPA Examination in the State of Kansas.

To be eligible to take the Certified Public Accountant examination or reexamination the applicant must possess the following qualifications:

Education Requirements

Hours required to sit for the exam
150 semester hours (225 quarter hours)

Minimum degree required:

Baccalaureate degree

Additional Requirements:

30 semester hours in accounting courses and

42 hours in business and general education courses and

11 semester hours in written and oral communications courses

Residency Requirements

U.S. Citizenship is not required

Minimum age: none

Candidate must be a resident, employee, or keep office(s) in the state.
