The requirements listed below relate only to eligibility to sit for and take the Uniform CPA Examination in the State of Connecticut.

To be eligible to take the Certified Public Accountant examination or reexamination the applicant must possess the following qualifications:

Education Requirements

Hours required to sit for the exam
150 semester hours (225 quarter hours) and Baccalaureate degree

Minimum degree required:

Baccalaureate degree

Additional Requirements:
Minimum of 36 semester hours in accounting
and
30 semester hours in business administration and economics courses (excluding accounting)
and
Minimum of 60 hours general education

Residency Requirements

U.S. Citizenship is not required

Minimum age: none

It is not neccessary to be a resident, employee, or keep office(s) in the state.
