The requirements listed below relate only to eligibility to sit for and take the Uniform CPA Examination in the State of Colorado.

To be eligible to take the Certified Public Accountant examination or reexamination the applicant must possess the following qualifications:

Education Requirements

Hours required to sit for the exam
None. 27 semester hours in accounting, and 21 semester hours in business-related courses are required.
(Requirements may vary. Contact the California State Board for more information.)

Minimum degree required:

Baccalaureate degree

Additional Requirements:
Additional education beyond Baccalaureate degree may reduce experience requirement for certification.

Residency Requirements

U.S. Citizenship is not required

Minimum age: none

It is not neccessary to be a resident, employee, or keep office(s) in the state.
