The requirements listed below relate only to eligibility to sit for and take the Uniform CPA Examination in the State of Arkansas.
To be eligible to take the Certified Public Accountant examination or reexamination the applicant must possess the following qualifications:

Minimum degree required:
Baccalaureate degree
Additional Requirements:
150 semester hours (225 quarter hours) with Baccalaureate from Level 3 accredited educational institution including 30 semester hours of accounting with a minimum grade of “C” and 24 semester hours in business
or
Graduate degree with concentration in accounting from an accounting program with Level 1 accreditation
or
Graduate degree from a business school with Level 2 accreditation and 30 semester hours of accounting with a minimum grade of “C” in each course.
Requirements are due to change January 2008.
Arkansas considers 3 levels of accreditation in evaluating coursework at different Universities and requires a minimum number of hours in specific subjects.
Residency Requirements
U.S. Citizenship is not required
Minimum age: none
Must be a resident, employee, or keep office(s) in the state.
